Central Leader - - News -

A new farmers’ market is starting in Grey Lynn next year and organisers are raising funds at Saturday’s Grey Lynn Park Festival.

Project manager Vincent Dickie says they are looking for local peo- ple to donate citrus fruit which can be turned into fresh juice and sold at the festival.

Market organisers need up to 50 crates of oranges and lemons and are happy to collect them.

A festival stall will be set up with a solarpowered juicer and hay bales where people can buy the juice and relax.

Skilled community members are also being sought for the market’s committee.

An information evening will be held next Wednesday at 7.30pm at the Grey Lynn Community Centre.

To have fruit collected, email or call Winnie Lenihan on 360-7265.
