Onehunga’s champ chosen
Competition was fierce for the title of Onehunga High School’s sports person of the year at the school’s senior awards ceremony last week.
Multi-talented Jamie Osborne came away with the prize at a ceremony last Wednesday.
Jamie was crowned school athletics champ on the school’s athletics day, taking out a number of events.
She has also played four years of first 11 football, including some time as captain, and has been in the Three Kings premier side.
Jamie receives a selection of sports equipment as a reward for her win.
Top hockey player Belinda Smith, who has represented Auckland in the under-18 girls team, was among the finalists.
And first 15 rugby captain Cameron Rodger, who was selected for the Auckland under-18 secondary schools side, was also up for the award.
