Three semi­fi­nal­ists found

West End, Blockhouse Bay and Pom­pal­lier are all through to the semi­fi­nals of the Caro Bowl mens in­ter­club ten­nis com­pe­ti­tion fol­low­ing the fi­nal found robin matches on Fri­day.

Par­nell fin­ished top of the ta­ble on 48 points, with West End four points be­hind on 44 and Pom­pal­lier and Blockhouse Bay tied on 32.

A count­back on points is still to con­firm who is third and fourth be­tween Pom­pal­lier and Blockhouse Bay.

West End man­aged to nab the sec­ond place spot af­ter a count­back victory over Pom­pal­lier.

West End’s Adam Thomp­son won the top sin­gles for West End over Rob­bie Cheyne in straight sets, while Pom­pal­lier’s James Shor­tall and Adam McNeill won their ties.

In the women’s com­pe­ti­tion, Par­nell beat Pom­pal­lier 6-0, Glen­dowie went down to Man­gere Com­bined 5-1 and Royal Oak se­cured a victory over Re­muera 6-2. Fi­nal points af­ter round robin: Men: Par­nell, 48, West End, 44, Pom­pal­lier, 32, Blockhouse Bay 32, Camp­bell Park, 25, Ko­hi­marama, 21, Royal Oak, 17, Re­muera, 5.

Women: Par­nell, 52, Man­gere Com­bined, 41, Royal Oak, 34, Mis­sion Bay, 31, Ko­hi­marama, 30, Glen­dowie, 13, Pom­pal­lier, 12, Re­muera, 11.
