Applications for two funding grants are open to adult and community educators seeking help for training and professional development.

The Small Professional Development grant is for professional development and the Innovation Professional grant is aimed at developing and putting in place professional strategies.

Adult and Community Education, which is offering the grants, provides communitybased learning for adults that can take place anywhere there is a need – on a marae, in a paddock or forest, in a community centre, library or family kitchen.

It includes English language and social support programmes, literacy and numeracy, Maori or Pacific language and culture, community development and education for social and environmental justice.

Application forms and funding guidelines are available at www. aceaotearoa.org.nz or by emailing pdgrants@ aceaotearoa.org.nz.
