Fine job in fine arts
Elam School of Fine Arts at Auckland University has a new fine arts professor.
Jonathan ManeWheoki of Ngapuhi, Te Aupouri and Ngati Kuri is one of New Zealand’s most respected figures in the arena of fine arts.
Mr Mane-Wheoki is an art, architectural and cultural historian. His broad range of professional experiences and research outputs encompasses many disciplines, from architectural history to music.
For five years he was director of art and collection services at the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa.
