Eastcliffe retirement resort expands

Central Leader - - News -

Eastcliffe on Orakei is proud to announce the opening of its new three level community facility.

Officially opened by Auckland city mayor John Banks, the new facility includes a heated swimming pool and spa, a separate gymnasium, craft and painters’ room, and a beauty-massage room on the lower level.

On the first level is a new fine dining area to complement the existing restaurant with a large outdoor deck, card play- ing area, indoor bowls, bar, billiard table and dance floor.

The top level features a large new lounge with a bar and a television area that will no doubt become a little noisier as the Super 14 gets further under way.

Resort manager Cherie Schofield says the new complex has made a huge difference and the residents are loving it.

The pool was completed just in time to make use of over the marvellous summer.

Eastcliffe on Orakei is handy to the waterfront, with Mission Bay just minutes away.

The complex presently includes 75 serviced apartments, a 20-bed hospital, nine studio apartments with care, and 55 independent living apartments and townhouses.

The secure environment, superior facilities, and beautiful central location with outstanding Hauraki Gulf and Bastion Point views make it one of the most soughtafter retirement resorts in Auckland.
