The chance to spend a day with the navy, army or air force is up for grabs in a new competition.
Operation Anzac Spirit is a competition for year 7 and 8 students, run by the New Zealand Defence Force, which requires children to design a poster illustrating what Anzac Day means to them.
Chief of Defence Force Lieutenant General Jerry Mateparae says increasing numbers of young people at dawn services shows the sense of national pride that New Zealanders feel for Anzac Day.
The competition closes on April 25, with the winners announced on May 5.
The Royal Returned and Services Association will also select 12 entries to produce a 2010 calendar for the 95th anniversary of the Gallipoli landings.
