People needing financial help to restore or maintain heritage buildings, objects or properties can apply to the Auckland City Council’s Cultural Heritage fund.
The grant, which has a total of $50,000 available for projects, is for the restoration or maintenance of cultural heritage throughout Auckland city. Projects can include things such as facade enhancement or conservation plans.
City development committee chairman Aaron Bhatnagar says the council recognises that it can be expensive for owners to maintain properties of historical value.
Applications to the fund are open until April 17.
