Community board byelection deadline looms
The chance to vote for one of five Eden-Albert Community Board candidates in this year’s byelection is nearing.
If voting papers have not arrived in the mailbox, your enrolment de- tails need updating.
Enrolments to vote will be accepted up to noon on polling day, April 9.
The community board is an elected body which provides a direct link be- tween locals and Auckland City Council.
There are 10 community boards in central Auckland that make decisions for the community and monitor services provided by the council.
The five candidates running for the seat are Peter Boys of the EdenAlbert Ratepayers and Residents Association, independent candidate Tom Bretherton, Julie Cooke of Citizens & Ratepayers, Bob Demler of Focus Eden Albert and City Vision candidate Simon Mitchell.
