Gifts that Grow help needy kids

ChildFund is encouraging the public to buy chicks for needy families as an alternative to buying chocolate eggs.

Gifts that Grow give the public the opportunity to purchase 25 baby chicks which are expected to lay around 500 eggs a month to feed and produce income for a family.

Other options are the purchase of a breeding hen and rooster for a family in a developing nation.

ChildFund says that by providing a child with a fresh egg instead of a chocolate one, they will be receiving 100 percent of their daily vitamin B requirement.
