Show­time at show­grounds

The coun­try comes to town at this year’s Royal Easter Show with fun for all the fam­ily.

Packed full of en­ter­tain­ment in­clud­ing live shows, in­ter­ac­tive ac­tiv­i­ties and car­ni­val rides, the an­nual event is promis­ing a line-up that will ap­peal to every­one.

The show, which started as an agri­cul­tural event to sup­port New Zealand’s farm­ing econ­omy in 1843, has be­come a fam­ily event that now at­tracts over 80,000 peo­ple.

Royal Easter Show spokesper­son John Robert­son ad­vises vis­i­tors to ar­rive early to avoid the crowds.

“Pro­grammes are avail­able from the in­for­ma­tion kiosk with show times, a full sched­ule with map and ev­ery­thing else you need to know.”

The Royal Easter Show is on from to­mor­row un­til Mon­day at the ASB Show­grounds in Green­lane.

Fam­ily passes are $38, adults are $18, se­nior cit­i­zens and stu­dents $12, chil­dren $6 and un­der-twos are free.
