Keep warm this winter

Central Leader - - News -

Turning our clocks back over the weekend was but the latest reminder that our golden summer has come to an end. Soon it will be winter, which means cold and rain. Are you ready? Have a look at Rayden Mitre 10’s heating and insulation options to see how you might better make sure your family stays toasty warm.

Heaters - from mini fan heaters to Fujitsu and Delonghi heat pumps, Rayden Mitre 10 has the right one for any size room. In addition to convector, oil column, gas and halogen heaters the store features eco drytech column heaters.

The oil-free drytechs warm up faster and put out 30 percent more heat then traditional column heaters, making them more economical to run.

Keen to heat a larger area? Then consider Rayden Mitre 10’s heat transfer kits that come in three sizes, to heat from one to three rooms of your home. Insulation - The best way to stay warm is to stop the cold before it gets in the door. Expol under floor insulation has been specifically designed for insulating between the joists of timber floor homes and buildings. You can make it a simple DIY project - instructions are included or available to download on the Expol website - or use any of Expol’s recognised installers. Pink Batts are another great insulation solution for floors, walls and ceilings - and as a wraparound for your hot water heater.

With Pink Batts Ultra, you can save up to 49 percent on energy costs, com- pared to homes with no insulation. Weather seals for doors and windows are good for cutting off drafts and keeping rain from blowing in. Mitre 10 also stocks door and window weather strips.

Rayden Mitre 10 is located at 976 Dominion Road, Mt Roskill.

Ring 621-0078 for more information about heating and insulation or for any of your other home and hardware questions.

Blown away: Before winter arrives, you’ll need to deal with your autumn leaves. Rayden Mitre 10 has a variety of electric and petrol powered blower vacs to suit any budget (and arm strength!).
