Funky kids’ music from Kindy Rock
KindyRock, the kiwi designed preschool music education programme for 0 to five-year-olds has cemented its programme with the release of its first two CD albums, KindyRock Twist and KindyRock Hoedown. The CDs, produced in Auckland, allow parents to continue the benefits of the KindyRock programme at home.
Founder Judi Cranston is adamant that exposure to music at an early age enhances a child’s cognitive development. Often asked when to start at KindyRock, Judi’s quick response is always “Tomorrow!”
Early Childhood academics are even more enthusiastic about KindyRock. Dr Trevor Thwaites of University of Auckland had this to say: “KindyRock is a hip-swinging, foot stamping, twirling, whirling set. The lyrics are great and the music is so authentic sounding. It is so relevant and hip that everyone from pre-schoolers to folks even older than me can get the groove, start to move and be living proof of this great educational music.”
The KindyRock music is written especially for New Zealand pre-school- ers and focuses early childhood development.
You don’t have to be enrolled at KindyRock to purchase the music CDs, they can be purchased on line at www.kindyrock. co.nz
The KindyRock programme focuses on developing creativity and improving cognitive, language, social and motor skills in an active, fun environment with music as the driving force.
The programme provides an interactive learning experience for parents/caregivers and children. Parents and kids have lots of fun!
