Saturn on show

Central Leader - - News -

Saturn is in optimal position for evening viewing over Auckland’s skies.

The ringed planet was one of the first objects observed by Galileo, when he pointed a telescope at the skies 400 years ago. To celebrate the telescope’s anniversary and Galileo’s discoveries, Stardome Observatory is running a new planetarium show called Two Small Pieces of Glass.

It runs Tuesdays to Sundays at 9pm until the end of May in addition to the Sky Tonight show at 8pm.

Adults are $16 and children $8. Call Jill Jessop on 021-442-884 for more information.
