Challenge goes out to directors
The search has begun for the country’s next wave of film-making talent.
Entries for the Youthtown Short Film Challenge are now open to 13 to 18-yearolds who fancy themselves as the next Peter Jackson.
The competition has steadily grown over the last six years from an Auckland-wide search to a nationwide contest.
Entries should be between four to 10 minutes long and will be judged by a panel of film industry experts.
Winners of the best film category will receive $2000 worth of Harvey Norman vouchers and best director wins free entry into the respected Television Production Course at Southseas Film, Television and Animation School.
Entries cost $25 each and close on July 24.
More information and entry forms are available at www. youthtown.org.nz or by phoning Dionne at Youthtown on 3795430.
