Stranger dan­ger in Mt Eden

Res­i­dents of Mt Eden are be­ing ad­vised to keep their eye out for a man po­lice are de­scrib­ing as sus­pi­cious.

Trudi Pu­mipi of Avon­dale po­lice says the man has been seen at least twice in April hang­ing around Cromwell St.

He has been ag­gres­sive to­wards some resi- dents in the street, she says.

The man is de­scribed as Pakeha with gin­ger hair, about 1.8 me­tres tall, skinny build, early to mid 20s, wear­ing gang­ster cloth­ing, a base­ball cap, a long green t-shirt and dark sun­glasses.

He is also said to be car­ry­ing a back­pack and an MP3 player.

Res­i­dents are con­cerned be­cause there is a kinder­garten in the street and many lo­cal chil­dren.
