Work­shop on mi­grant jobs

A work­shop on the ben­e­fits of em­ploy­ing skilled mi­grant work­ers will be held in the cen­tral city next Wed­nes­day.

The Auck­land Re­gional Mi­grant Ser­vices Char­i­ta­ble Trust is en­cour­ag­ing ser­vice providers, com­mu­nity or­gan­i­sa­tions, em­ploy­ers and mi­grants to at­tend.

Run by the Lo­cal Set­tle­ment Net­work, the work­shop will ad­dress is­sues faced by mi­grants seek­ing em­ploy­ment in Auck­land and the ad­van­tages of em­ploy­ing skilled mi­grants in this eco­nomic cli­mate.

The work­shop runs from 10am to 1pm at the Pi­o­neer Women’s Hall on the cor­ner of High St and Melville Place in the city.
