A jubilant performance
The country’s most powerful a cappella gospel choir Jubilation performs tomorrow night.
The 32-strong vocal powerhouse will be singing at the Monte Cristo Room in the central city. Formed in 2001, the group features the talents of Rick Bryant, Jackie Clarke, Jennifer Ward-Lealand and Amanda Billing and was recently greeted by a crowd of 500 when they performed at the Wellington Jazz Festival.
The choir’s repertoire ranges from Afro-American gospel to Al Green, Curtis Mayfield, Tom Waits and originals.
The show starts at 7pm at the Monte Cristo Room, 53 Nelson St.
