A ju­bi­lant per­for­mance

The coun­try’s most pow­er­ful a cap­pella gospel choir Ju­bi­la­tion per­forms to­mor­row night.

The 32-strong vo­cal pow­er­house will be singing at the Monte Cristo Room in the cen­tral city. Formed in 2001, the group fea­tures the tal­ents of Rick Bryant, Jackie Clarke, Jen­nifer Ward-Lealand and Amanda Billing and was re­cently greeted by a crowd of 500 when they per­formed at the Welling­ton Jazz Fes­ti­val.

The choir’s reper­toire ranges from Afro-Amer­i­can gospel to Al Green, Cur­tis May­field, Tom Waits and orig­i­nals.

The show starts at 7pm at the Monte Cristo Room, 53 Nel­son St.
