Ngapuhi tribal members living in Auckland are invited to a series of hui throughout the region to give their views on Treaty of Waitangi settlements.

For those in the central west Auckland area, a meeting will be held next Monday at Te Mahurehure Cultural Marae, 73 Premier Ave, in Pt Chev- alier from 6pm to 9pm.

Other venues include Awataha Marae, 58 Akoranga Drive, Northcote, on Monday starting at 11am and Papakura Marae, 29 Hunua Rd, on Tuesday starting 6pm.

As one of the largest tribes in New Zealand and with the majority living in the Auckland rohe, the hui will be an impor- tant guide for Ngapuhi, says organiser Sonny Tau.

“We particularly want ideas and feedback about who Ngapuhi whanui trust and have confidence in to represent them to settle Crown breaches,” he says.
