ACG students embrace their inner gangster!
Is this, pictured left, the result of attending Year 9 at ACG Parnell College?
Well, no, actually, but this is Looney Bergonzi, a ‘specialist’ gangster, a.k.a. a student in Year 9, who took part in this year’s musical `Bugsy Malone’.
Directed by wellknown Auckland director and stage designer, Simon Coleman, along with acclaimed musician and performer, Jason Te Mete, as Musical director, ACG’s recent production of Bugsy Malone was a sparkling success and entranced capacity audiences over several nights.
Taking place in the College gymnasium, with tiered seating for over 300 people, Simon’s talents were given full rein and his ingenious set design filled the space and, with help from Oceania Lighting and Sound, a first rate theatre was created.
