This Sunday, Auckland choir Sing for Joy will create harmony that pays tribute to those affected by the Samoan tsunami.

Singing for Samoa is an opportunity for people to enjoy an afternoon of singing and at the same time assist those in the Pacific still dealing with the tragedy.

The singing workshop is open to all who want to learn and sing a variety of songs, set in peaceful surroundings at the Blockhouse Bay Boat Club.

Entry is by a suggested donation of $20, and all proceeds will go to the Red Cross for tsunami relief work in Samoa.

All singers experienced or inexperienced are welcome from 2pm to 5pm.

“We all have a voice and to sing in harmony with a group of others is an uplifting experience and often inspires confidence,” says choir leader Max Maxwell.
