Probe into death
Police investigating the suspicious death of a man at a Hillsborough house say they are running a homicide inquiry.
Damien Loder Allen, 33, was found dead at the property on September 24 and police say he died from a head injury.
Police spokeswoman Noreen Hegarty says the scene has been extensively examined by ESR scientists and police staff in the weeks after Mr Allen’s death in an attempt to reconstruct what happened.
Tests used to determine whether blood was present at the scene came up with areas of interest.
Police are waiting on further analysis before making any more comment.
“This man has died as a result of an impact to the head,” says detective inspector Scott Beard.
“How that happened and who did it are the focus of this investigation.”
