Con­cert for Haiti

A spe­cial mu­sic ex­trav­a­ganza will take place this Satur­day to raise money for dev­as­tated chil­dren in Haiti.

Save The Chil­dren has lined up sev­eral top-notch lo­cal acts in­clud­ing King Kapisi, Hot Grits, DLT, Man­ual Bundy, Roger Perry, Coast, Slave, the Brazil­ian Di­vas and the Car­ribeanz South­ern Stars Steel Band.

More per­form­ers are to be an­nounced and all funds raised will go to­wards Save The Child- ren’s Haiti Emer­gency Ap­peal.

The char­ity has more than 200 staff on the ground in Haiti, with the pri­or­ity of sav­ing chil­dren’s lives by dis­tribut­ing emer­gency aid, food and med­i­cal sup­plies and by set­ting up field hos­pi­tals to pro­vide chil­dren with life-sav­ing as­sis­tance.

The ben­e­fit con­cert will kick off at 7.30pm, at Auck­land’s Pow­er­sta­tion, 33 Mt Eden Rd, Eden Ter­race.

Tick­ets are $20 through Tick­et­mas­ter and on the door.
