Coun­cil to make changes to ser­vices dur­ing fes­tive pe­riod

Dur­ing the Christ­mas pe­riod the Auck­land Coun­cil is mak­ing th­ese changes to its ser­vices:

Most rub­bish col­lec­tions will be one day later than usual from De­cem­ber 25 to Jan­uary 6. Res­i­dents us­ing pri­vate col­lec­tion ser­vices should con­tact their ser­vice providers for hol­i­day col­lec­tion sched­ules

Li­braries will be closed on Christ­mas Day, Box­ing Day, New Year’s Day and Jan­uary 2

Open­ing hours for pools and other recre­ation cen­tres can be found at auck­land­coun­, or by call­ing on 301 0101

The 24-hour coun­cil call cen­tre will op­er­ate as usual at Christ­mas and will be avail­able on all statu­tory hol­i­days

All coun­cil ser­vice cen­tres will close at 5pm on De­cem­ber 21, ex­cept for the Gra­ham St of­fice in the cen­tral city which closes at noon that day. All cen­tres will re­open on Jan­uary 7

Lo­cal board of­fices close noon, De­cem­ber 21 and re­open on Jan­uary 7.
