But­ton up for a pen­guin en­counter

Vis­i­tors can ex­pe­ri­ence an on-the-ice en­counter with New Zealand’s only Antarc­tic pen­guin colony when they visit Kelly Tarl­ton’s Sea Life Aquar­ium.

The aquar­ium’s lat­est in­ter­ac­tive ex­pe­ri­ence will see vis­i­tors suited up in Antarc­tic snow gear to ex­plore the new snow­filled pen­guin en­clo­sure and get up-close and per­sonal with the mag- nif­i­cent king gen­too pen­guins.

Santa will also be div­ing in the Ocean Dis­cov­ery tank to feed the fish, ev­ery day at 2pm un­til De­cem­ber 24.

Vis­i­tors can gain ex­clu­sive ac­cess and see how ev­ery­thing works be­hind the scenes at the re-launched aquar­ium, with a chance to feed the fish, dis­cover the an­i­mal quar­an­tine area, dive tanks and

and much more in daily tours.

Kids will have the op­por­tu­nity to take part in a new in­ter­ac­tive quiz trail – a fun and ed­u­ca­tional way to learn about the amaz­ing an­i­mals and ex­hibits at Kelly Tarl­ton’s.
