O for awe­some at CLM One­hunga

If you didn’t achieve your goals in 2012, maybe you are at the wrong gym!

As the year ends many peo­ple’s thoughts are cast wa-a-ay back to the be­gin­ning of the year when they were plan­ning their New Year’s Res­o­lu­tion strat­egy. For a sig­nif­i­cant num­ber, selfim­prove­ment in the form of weight loss, get­ting health­ier and fit­ter would have been num­ber one pri­or­ity.

CLM One­hunga War Me­mo­rial Pools staff are thrilled to have been able to play a ma­jor role in help­ing many stick to such res­o­lu­tions.

In one year CLM One­hunga has run four Weight Loss So­lu­tion Chal­lenges; twelve sixweek Boot­Camps and an un­for­get­table Com­mu­nity Down­size Chal­lenge. The re­sult? A com­bined weight loss of well over 500kg! Some of the in­di­vid­ual weight loss trans­for­ma­tions were Janine Hum­ber­stone, win­ner of the CLM Health and Fit­ness Big­gest Loser, and Lee-Ann La Trobe, who has shed more than 20kg since March this year. Both women share com­pleted the eight-week Weight Loss So­lu­tion.

Jo Chris­tini, Monette Atkin­son and Cat Kay are just some of the ‘girls’ to have taken on Elly’s No Lim­its chal­lenge this year on more than one oc­ca­sion. With Elly’s short, hard and in­tense work­outs and the va­ri­ety and en­cour­age­ment pro­vided with each ses­sion it is not sur­pris- ing that mem­bers are al­ready se­cur­ing their spot for next year’s sixweek chal­lenge.

It is some­times hard enough just get­ting mo­ti­vated to go the gym let alone find­ing the rhythm to be con­sis­tent in train­ing. But with 3-4 ses­sions a week with the trusted and highly skilled train­ers, achiev­ing your goals is a whole lot eas­ier.
