Young physicists aim for worlds
Physics is a fighting matter for three top Year 13 ACG Parnell students.
They have been selected from 17 Auckland schools to represent Auckland in the New Zealand International Young Physicists Competition this Saturday at the University of Auckland.
The competition involves six schools from around the country and is the most elite physics competition in the world for high school students. It involves them conduc- ting seven experiments over three months and then presenting and debating them individually against other teams.
From this round of the competition five students are selected to represent the New Zealand team in the World Finals which will be held in Taiwan, in July this year.
Last year ACG Parnell student Matthew Harvey was selected to attend the 2012 finals in Germany.
