Swimming all year round

SwimMagic teachers believe there is no better time to learn to swim than during the winter months.

Learning to swim during summer is great, however just when your child is at their best, the weather turns cold and it is six months before they are at the beach enjoying the great skills they have picked up and have hopefully retained.

In contrast a child who participates in lessons during winter can look forward to a summer at the beach and at the pool enjoying the water instead of spending it learning how.

Just like any activity children participate in, if six months was taken off, it would take significant time and energy to get back to the point they were at. Unfortunately with water, this down time could prove dangerous. There are numerous developmental, social, physical, and emotional benefits to participating in aquatic activities and swimming lessons year round.

SwimMagic is New Zealand’s leading Swimming education provider providing to over 11000 children weekly in programmes for all ages and abilities. Programmes are offered seven days a week, with times and days available to suit busy lifestyles.
