Stomping up a great time

Central Leader - - NEWS -

The hit stage show Stomp is coming to Auckland in August and we’ve got tickets for you and a friend to see it at the Aotea Centre’s ASB Theatre.

It’s been four years since the internationally acclaimed musical was performed to packed theatres in New Zealand.

‘‘We are really excited about coming back,’’ director Steve McNicholas says.

‘‘If you’ve never seen Stomp you should come and see what all the noise is about, and if you’ve seen it before then this show has plenty of new routines to enthral.’’

The show is a highoctane mix of slick choreography, tight ensemble work, industrial percussion, and comedy.

‘‘It is a unique and supremely clever idea, to create music from everyday objects and combine it with side-splitting comedy and intricate choreography to produce a polished theatrical performance the likes of which you’ve never seen before,’’ producer James Cundall says.
