Buildings make it into awards finals
The winners of an esteemed property competition are to be announced on June 7.
The University of Auckland faculty of medical and health sciences building, the university’s building 303 and St Cuthberts College Performing Arts Centre are among 78 finalists from around the country in the Property Council New Zealand run awards.
Entrants compete in categories ranging from office, retail and industrial, through to edu- cation, arts and heritage projects.
They go through a three-month judging process that looks at economic and financial factors as well as user satisfaction and sustainability.
The awards are the country’s most esteemed commercial property awards and acknowledge properties that add real value to New Zealand’s built environment.
The winners will be announced at a ceremony at the Viaduct Events Centre.
