Sumpter brings experience
The Auckland Communities Foundation has appointment a new chief executive.
Hilary Sumpter will be stepping into the role in mid-July and will be based at the foundation’s Epsom office.
Ms Sumpter had a period on contract at the Northland Community Foundation when it was in its start-up phase and is well known for her former role as chief executive of the YWCA Auckland.
Foundation chairperson Steve Chaney says Ms Sumpter brings to the job a well-honed ability to identify strategic and innovative operational opportunities and build strong partnerships.
She was a vicepresident of the National Council of Women Auckland branch and has served on various arts boards.
