A mixed bag of re­sults means cen­tral Auck­land rugby teams head into round 14 of the Alan McEvoy Me­mo­rial Shield at op­po­site ends of the ta­ble.

Gram­mar Carl­ton trounced Otahuhu 69-0 on Satur­day at Corn­wall Park which they dom­i­nated from the start.

The Puriri Drive-based club re­mains in sec­ond place on the ta­ble, head­ing into the bye sit­ting two points be­hind lead­ers Paku­ranga.

Eden sit in ninth place stay­ing in the bot­tom half of the ta­ble af­ter a 36-5 de­feat to third-place Sub­urbs at Shad­bolt Park.

The San­dring­ham-based side will have a chance to re­deem them­selves on home turf with a clash against Marist at Grib­ble­hirst Park on Satur­day.
