Glaucoma theme of free seminar
Health professionals estimate that 50 per cent of people affected by glaucoma don’t realise they have it, until it’s too late.
Early detection is essential and regular eye health examinations by an optometrist will assess whether someone has glaucoma or is at risk of developing it.
Glaucoma New Zealand is holding a free public meeting at 10am on July 20 in Greenlane.
Ophthalmologist Dr Mark Donaldson will speak about glaucoma and treatment options.
Register with Glaucoma New Zealand to receive a pack containing information and a DVD about glaucoma, as well as a copy of the Eyelights newsletter.
The seminar is at the Alexandra Park Function Centre, Green Lane West, Gate B, Rutherford Room, Level 2.
