Work on do­main be­gins

Up­grade works to im­prove safety and ac­ces­si­bil­ity in Auck­land Do­main are un­der way.

The pro­ject be­gan on July 1 and is ex­pected to be com­pleted within three months but weather con­di­tions may af­fect the con­struc­tion timeline.

Key changes in­clude a re­design of the Do­main Dr and Lower Do­main Dr in­ter­sec­tion, a new east­bound cy­cle lane on Do­main Dr, ad­di­tional speed ta­bles, foot­path works and new pedes­trian cross­ing points.

A speed limit of 30kmh will be in­tro- duced through­out Auck­land Do­main. Lovers Lane and the car park will be closed to ve­hi­cle ac­cess.

The works will be com­pleted in three stages and re­quire sec­tions of Do­main Dr and Lower Do­main Dr at times to be closed or re­stricted to one-way ve­hi­cle ac­cess.
