Alberton to hold celebratory dinners
Alberton is celebrating its 150th anniversary with two themed dinners.
Construction on the original Mt Albert farmhouse started in 1863 and it was developed into an India-inspired mansion in the 1870s. It was the home of the Kerr Taylor family.
The event themes are Raj Dinner and Motherland Revisited which reflect the family’s links to India and the United Kingdom.
The Raj Dinner is being held on July 26 and the Motherland Revisited event is on July 27. Entry to each is $70 per person and includes a four-course meal and refreshments. Each dinner is limited to 50 people. Email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 846 7367.
