Study­ing as a path­way to self-em­ploy­ment

The new se­mes­ter for New Zealand Col­lege of Chi­nese Medicine (NZCCM) cour­ses starts on July 29. New stu­dents will be­gin their stud­ies in:

1. Bach­e­lor of Health Science: Chi­nese Medicine – a four 4 year de­gree in Chi­nese Her­bal Medicine and Acupunc­ture.

2. Bach­e­lor of Health Science: Acupunc­ture – a three year de­gree.

3. Diploma in Chi­nese Health Stud­ies - over one year.

4. Cer­tifi­cate in Foun­da­tion Stud­ies for Health Main­te­nance – over 20 weeks.

The ma­jor­ity of NZCCM’s grad­u­ates move to selfem­ploy­ment af­ter suc­cess­fully study­ing for their de­grees.

The Col­lege has staff avail­able to as­sist new stu­dents with ev­ery step of the process of en­rol­ment and prepa­ra­tion to start study­ing.

Whether it is mak­ing sure that all your doc­u­men­ta­tion is in or­der, help­ing you to ne­go­ti­ate the stu­dent loan process, ad­vis­ing on where to buy text­books or help­ing you to set­tle in to full-time study, the Col­lege has ex­pe­ri­enced peo­ple whose job it is to make sure you get ev­ery pos­si­ble as­sis­tance to make the tran­si­tion to study­ing Chi­nese Medicine.

At Ori­en­ta­tion Week, on July 29, all stu­dents come in to the col­lege where they get: a stu­dent hand­book; a tour of the cam­pus; a meet­ing with the staff; in­tro­duc­tion to Chi­nese Medicine; ad­vice on things like stu­dent wel­fare, how to deal with govern­ment de­part­ments like Pub­lic Trust and Studylink; fa­mil­iari­sa­tion with our li­brary and com­puter ac­cess; ad­vice on where and how to get text­books; stu­dent ser­vices and sup­port; demon­stra­tions; class vis­its; and con­ver­sa­tions with the aca­demic team

Grad­u­a­tion Day: 28 NZCCM stu­dents re­cently grad­u­ated with a Bach­e­lor of Health Science (BHSc) ma­jor­ing in Chi­nese Medicine or Acupunc­ture.
