Market relies on communication
Auckland tourism operators are now able to offer their tours, activities and tickets directly to the growing Chinese tourist market.
Australian tourism booking website Experience Oz has developed a fully functional Chinese booking site.
Experience Oz also takes bookings for New Zealand tourism options.
The site contains over 2000 products and experiences available to view and book and has incorporated new payment options, such as UnionPay, which is the payment method of choice in China.
Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development tourism manager Jason Hill says communication with the Chinese market is vital.
‘‘It is imperative to communicate to the Chinese market in their own language and we congratulate Experience Oz and New Zealand on committing wholeheartedly to this rapidly growing market.’’
Greatsights Auckland general manager of international sales Ross Grundy says the launch of the Chinese version of Experience Oz would be advantageous for tourism in the region.
