How to make the most of your time
Focus on the time we can control rather than what we can’t.
That’s the advice from time management expert Robyn Pearce.
Traffic and long travel times are a fact of life for many Auckland residents and businesses, and Ms Pearce says this time drain is just another challenge for busy people.
‘‘The time queen’’ recommends that to improve our lives and/or business we focus on the time we can control rather than what we can’t.
We can’t control the traffic, but we can make good decisions about the time in the rest of our day, she says.
Ms Pearce is hosting an Auckland breakfast workshop on August 9 focusing on delegation and effective timemanagement.
She is partnering with HR guru Lisa Mackay from the HRToolkit.
They will share strategies enabling businesses to gain back valuable time and get the most out of their employees in the time available.
Ms Pearce says: ‘‘Good delegation is a major challenge for most people, but if we can delegate effectively then we can dramatically reduce the amount of interruptions and increase productivity.’’
Ms Mackay will cover topics like how to manage staff effectively and the legal steps to follow if someone needs to go from the business.
Both segments will be full of practical tips to take away and implement immediately and are applicable to businesses and teams of all sizes.
Time-saver: Robyn Pearce, aka ‘‘The time queen’’, is a worldrenowned expert in time management. Her upcoming workshop will help people learn how to delegate.
