Gastro cancers affect many
Gastrointestinal cancers will be put under the spotlight during a panel discussion on August 1.
Cancers of the oesophagus, stomach, liver, gallbladder, pancreas and bowel are collectively the most common form of cancer in New Zealand.
The Gastrointestinal Cancer Institute is hosting the discussion with leading medical specialists, who will discuss evolving treatments and medical research.
Guests will hear stories of hope from gastrointestinal cancer survivors Paul Hargreaves and Grant Baker.
The discussion is on August 1 at 6.30pm and includes nibbles and refreshments.
Tickets cost $20 per person or $37 for doubles and all proceeds will help the institute support clinical research and help achieve better outcomes for gastrointestinal cancer patients.
It is being held in the JR Fletcher Performing Arts Centre, Kings Prep School, 258 Remuera Rd, Remuera. Best parking is on Omahu Rd.
