We Three Kings ...
A trio of Three Kings United footballers will take to the field with the Junior Ferns for a three-match series against Australia kicking off this week.
Martine Puketapu, Jasmine Pereira and Emily Jensen play for Three Kings’ first team in the Lotto NRFL Women’s Premier League.
The team is now joint second in the top six.
The trio were all members of the New Zealand Young Football Ferns side which competed at the 2012 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Azerbaijan.
Each of the young players have an attacking mentality, Three Kings United coach Andrew Clay says.
‘‘Emily, Jasmine and Martine continue a long tradition of significant Three Kings United representation in national teams.’’
The New Zealand under-20 women’s 20-strong squad is taking on their Australian counterparts in two central Auckland matches.
The first is tomorrow at Kiwitea St, the second on Monday at Seddon Fields – 2.30pm kick-off for both.
