Paint ball works to be sold
Aucklanders will be given a unique opportunity to paint the town red this weekend.
As part of the build-up to Red Nose Day later this month there are galas happening across the country in conjunction with Jono and Ben’s: Bluffing their way to the Cape cycle tour.
The Red Nose Gala Day will be hitting Auckland’s Aotea Square on Sunday.
As part of the celebrations Telecom will be bringing along its Splatters that Matter van between 11am and 1.30pm.
The van comes equipped with a giant paint ball firing machine.
In return for a donation members of the public will be given the opportunity to splatter a large blank canvas to co-create a special piece of artwork.
On Red Nose Day, which is August 23, the resulting artwork from the Aotea Square gala will be placed on TradeMe, along with canvases from the rest of the North Island.
Money raised from the auction will go directly to Cure Kids.
Cure Kids is an organisation with a mandate to find cures for lifethreatening illnesses that affect many Kiwi children.
