Place of kindness

Central Leader - - LETTERS -

What a great community story to read your front page article in the July 24 edition about tetraplegic Amanda Lowry.

Stepping Stones has been a place of kindness and good-heartedness for at least 15 years as we can vouch for.

Fifteen years ago when our twins were born, the then owner/manager required no fees for the last day our eldest son spent with them when I was otherwise occupied at National Women’s.

This was a simple act of generosity to a young family, not asked for but much appreciated.

We contacted Stepping Stones to make a donation to the Amanda Lowry appeal to try to pay forward the kindness of a community business and service.

Thank you for the article.

I suggest that the Ash St/ Rosebank Rd intersection in Avondale needs to be high on the list.

It is important to keep this arterial route accident-free to keep traffic flowing and improve safety.

Plane nuisance: Angry residents have raised questions about Auckland Airport’s proposed flight path changes.
