Camp Quality and Lions Club projects are to benefit from the sale of several hundred trees.

Icon Trees is shifting from its site in Flat Bush and will be leaving behind a wide range of its larger trees. These have been offered to the Lions Clubs as a fundraiser.

Most of the trees have a value of more than $100 and are in four litre bases. They will be sold for about half price and are reasonably large. They include native, lemon and fig trees.

About 20 Lions Clubs in central and South Auckland will be participating.

The clubs are giving 50 percent of the net proceeds to Camp Quality, which provides annual summer camps and year-round support to children aged 5-16 years living with cancer, and their families.

Remaining funds will be distributed to participating clubs for their projects.
