Options for the East-West Link:
Option one involves redistributing traffic away from the South- Eastern Arterial Intersection (SEART) by building new roads or upgrading existing roads between Favona, Otahuhu and Pakuranga
Option two is the same as option one but also includes provision to improve connections with the land-based Metro Port
Option three would see a focus on connecting the ‘‘industrial belt’’ which would see a new road constructed along the northern edge of the Mangere Inlet, over the Tamaki Estuary and linking with Highbrook
Option four is to focus east-west traffic in a high-capacity corridor from Mangere to Pakuranga.
