Have a hearty breakfast for heart foundation
Auckland women are invited to help the Heart Foundation’s research into women’s heart disease by attending their Go Red for Women breakfast on September 6.
The fundraising breakfast at the Crowne Plaza features great speakers.
Go Red for Women patron and heart attack survivor Dame Jenny Shipley will speak about her experiences and Nadia Lim will provide a cooking demonstration.
Researcher Natalie Walker will talk about how heart disease affects women.
Tickets, $55 per person or $500 a table, include a heart healthy breakfast.
Over 200 Auckland women died of heart disease in 2010.
‘‘Too often women think of heart disease as being a man’s disease,’’ Auckland Heart Health advocate Naadira Desai says.
