LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Central Leader - - NEWS -

Should our only concern be for business profits? We must stop pandering to the liquor industry and adopt a reasonable approach to these abuses.

Having liquor on sale all hours is dumb – it’s not needed.

Let’s have sensible hours of business, say opening at 10am. If you need to drink before that time you’ve probably got a problem. Shutting at 1.30am – final!

Sale of liquor should be 10am to 7pm. Most workers knock off at round 5pm.

If you’re not working then you’ve got all day to shop.

This would give workers and owners time for a break and time for cleanup and restock, and city workers would have more time to refresh the streets.
