Add a bit to bill
The annual DineAid campaign runs until December 31. Customers at selected restaurants and cafes can donate their spare change to help the hungry and homeless. It’s a matter of adding $2 to your final restaurant bill or putting a coin in a collection box at a cafe counter. Funds go to the country’s City Mission food banks. Since its launch in New Zealand five years ago, DineAid has raised almost $400,000. In central Auckland there are several businesses taking part including Cereal Killa, Two Fifteen and Merediths, Clooney, O’Connell St Bistro, Mexico, Baduzzi and The French Cafe. Search dineaid.org.nz to find a list of all the participating eateries.
