If your child is about to start school for the first time, don’t forget to take them for a free health check-up. The B4 School Check gives parents a chance to discuss their child’s health and development with a nurse. It usually takes between 45 to 60 minutes and covers hearing, visual, growth and oral screenings and questionnaires to discuss the child’s development. Almost 10,000 eligible 4-year-olds have had a free B4 School Check in the past six months, an increase of 1400 children over the same period last year.
