Yes, ex­pan­sion is a good thing for Bal­moral. How­ever, there are other con­sid­er­a­tions against re­zon­ing part of The Ware­house site from res­i­den­tial to busi­ness. The fo­cus of your ar­ti­cle is on Peter Haynes’ view of the qual­ity of apart­ments and the vastly im­proved Ware­house.

I live in Rock­lands Ave and fully sup­ported neigh­bours on the other side of Do­min­ion Rd in op­pos­ing the McDon­ald’s de­vel­op­ment, al­though it didn’t di­rectly af­fect me. I see many sim­i­lar­i­ties with The Ware­house de­vel­op­ment for those who will be di­rectly af­fected.

My main con­cern is the in­creased level of traf­fic that this de­vel­op­ment will cre­ate in Rock­lands Ave. The plan states that The Ware­house ser­vice ac­cess will be from Rock­lands Ave, i.e. big trucks and con­tain­ers. Cus­tomer ac­cess will be two-way to and from Rock­lands Ave. We al­ready have very heavy
