New firm moves in
A new office and warehouse in Penrose was opened by the prime minister last week.
Hydraulink has taken over the previously vacant and dated space on the corner of O’Rorke and Station roads.
The New Zealandbased company produces hydraulic hoses and fittings. It will locate its Australasian head office at the new facility.
MP Peseta Sam LotuIiga attended the opening. The site is also home to several other businesses including Laminex and AA Insurance and is part of what Mr Lotu-Iiga describes as a ‘‘revitilisation’’ of the area.
The Hydraulink fitout cost around $750,000. Thirty staff are currently employed at the precinct.
‘‘The regeneration of this part of Penrose is a great example of how an ageing precinct can undergo a significant transformation,’’ Mr Lotu-Iiga says.
